Helen Evans
Hi, I am Helen Evans. As Deborah says, I am working in a "behind the scenes" capacity for Deborah Price Consulting. It's a role which I thoroughly enjoy in an environment which is stimulating and rewarding in many different ways.
Originally trained in the arts and theatre, I began my working career in the physically demanding and predominantly male environment of Richmond Theatre's back stage crew. An opportunity to work for a New York Orchestra Conductor in setting up a marble furniture import and distribution business seemed like an opportunity not to be missed! Moving me in a completely different direction from the solely creative and theatrical world to a business orientated environment that sparked my curiosity with its creative element of furniture design. I worked for many years learning all aspects of the business and acquired a passion for all things Italian which has inspired me over the years.
My style of management and personality has often been described as, "distinctive" and I developed a series of transferable skills which allowed me to move smoothly and seamlessly between different fields of industry and gave me a depth and understanding within a wide variety of businesses. Moving into the IT industry in the early 1990's, my management skills allowed me to run a hardware and software development company with offices both in the UK and USA, although those that know me will often laugh, as my IT skills are not at the forefront of my abilities. Several years later, a chance social encounter with Deborah Price and some useful tips on public speaking, (my very first public speaking engagement was to an address of some 600 people), led to a career with The Performance Partnership. I went on to become a Practitioner of NLP, Time Line Therapy® and Hypnosis and have since incorporated these skills in all areas of my life with great success and enthusiasm.
I have now become part of the formidable Deborah Price Consulting team and in my "spare time" bring up my three teenagers, enjoy keeping fit, am a qualified teacher of exercise and study Italian and fine art.
